"A Community of Life"
Recently, a few people from two churches in our community gathered together for an evening of building new friendships, sharing struggles and victories, and praying for our community and nation. Mercy Hill Church, where I have the astounding privilege to serve, was one of those two churches involved in that very special evening. As a pastor, I have had the incredible blessing of serving in different churches in the last 15 years, and I must say, I have witnessed many wonderful things happen, too many to count. However, this particular event where two churches came together in a real and meaningful way was definitely one of the most inspiring and humbling events in my entire ministry service.
The heart of the matter that I would like to share with each and every one of the dear readers of the Wilsonville Spokesman is that a thriving and successful community is one that unites together to accomplish much good in the world in which we live. What appears a seemingly insurmountable task can be accomplished by reaching out to those around us with friendship and encouragement. Let's all take some bold steps this month, this summer, and this year, uniting and working together to build a "Community of Life."
